As American cities like Philadelphia prepare for the global spotlight that is FIFA WORLD CUP 2026, much of the strategy is focused on infrastructure and economic impact. However, there is a meaningful and often overlooked opportunity: ensuring that local youth are not simply adjacent to this moment, but intentionally engaged in it.

THE WORD CUP™ 2026 SUMMER READING EXPERIENCE is a virtual and citywide reading challenge for young Philadelphia boys to be introduced to the world of soccer through reading, which will include “the beautiful game” itself, its unique culture, countries and players.

This once in a lifetime experience of having the world’s most popular sport being played in their city, on the world stage, is quite literally: the ultimate learning extension.
